Grapes: Mostly Castelão plus a pinch of Tinta Miúda and others

Region: Alcobaça, Lisboa

Grown on 40 year old vines in clay and limestone soils from 5 different plots, macerated for 5-6 days, aged in used French oak (60%) and stainless (40%). Farmed without synthetics / hand harvested / spontaneous fermentation / no fining or filtration.

Dark broody fruit with notes of smoke and spice. Pair this with Braised Lamb Shoulder & Artichokes with Flageolet Beans, Long Cooked Greens, Hakurei Turnips, Green Garlic Aioli & Pine Nuts.
