Wines made under the pétproject label are made with a minimalist approach to winemaking. According to winemaker, Jay Anderson, the goal of this label is to create "wines that are painstakingly simple and as complex as possible using only one ingredient - organically farmed grapes."
This wine is 100% pinot gris from Pear Ridge vineyard in the Columbia Gorge AVA made in the ancestral French winemaking style of pétillant naturel. Indigenous yeast started fermentation after a two-day cold soak. Following fermentation, the wine was bottled and spent nearly three months aging on its lees prior to disgorgement. It comes in at 11% ABV.
