Castel Vieilh la Salle Bordeaux NV
A fab red Bordeaux from producer Castel Vieilh la Salle made by blending the fruit of two vintages, 2014 and 2013 — hence the 'NV' or 'non-vintage' designation. The vines are located near the Entre-Deux-Mers region (smack dab between the Right and Left Bank, for those uncles demanding to know). The vineyards are composed of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot—a nice balance of some of the most classic varieties in the region. No extra sulfur was added to this wine as a preservative: a genuine winemaking rarity in the region. Great balance between woodsy Cabernet notes and the friendly fruit of Merlot. We wish all Bordeaux tasted this honest.
