Chateau de la Selve 'Maguelonne' Rose
Château de La Selve is located in the village of Grospierres within Coteaux de l'Ardèche, 30 miles north of Avignon in the southern Rhône. The domaine was established on the site of a conventional winery in 2002, at which time Benoit Chazallon began cleansing the land of all weed killers and other chemicals, and in 2008 the 100-acre property was granted ECOCERT organic certification. Today, De La Selve produces several cuvees with Rhône and Bordelaise varieties.
Chateau de la Selve Maguelonne Rose is a blend of Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah and a small percentage of Viogner, which give the rose a lifted aromatic note. It has a delicate nose, with red and white fruit aromas and flowery notes. On the palate, a nice minerality is matched with an elegant freshness.
