Cutter Cascadia 'Heavy Water'

Cutter Cascadia 'Heavy Water'

Regular price

For those of you already in the know, the new vintage of “Heavy Water,” the world’s greatest desert Riesling (that’s “desert” with one “s,” get it?), has just landed. “Heavy Water” is definitely the wine that put Cutter Cascadia on the map with the wine dorks of Portland. Michael is farming nearly 40-year-old Riesling vines planted in the high desert of the Columbia Gorge. It’s an extreme environment, and the wine reflects this.

“Heavy Water” is one of the most mind-twistingly filigreed orange wines we’ve ever had, a chameleon that pulsates with both warmth and depth, structure, yet also flaunts acid with a capital “A” and a glacier-like core of mineral.
