Golden Raisins. Crisp Pear. Peaches Peaches Peaches. The 2022 vintage of our famous 100% Dry Riesling. Inspired by David Chang’s sense of umami, this is one of the best Rieslings we make. We refer to it as our umami tsunami! The fruit comes from Crow Valley Vineyard in Southern Willamette Valley. We’ve been lucky that the fruit has consistently come with botrytis, also called Noble Rot, which concentrates the flavors when the grapes dehydrate on the vine and get fuzzy from the mold (good kind of mold).

Farming: hand-harvested; organic (practicing)

Winemaking: native yeast; minimal sulfur added; aged in barrel; unfined; unfiltered

About Teutonic:
“Old & Cold, High & Dry, Wood & Wild.” That's the mantra of Teutonic Wine Company. Barnaby and Olga Tuttle make Willamette Valley wines inspired by Mittelmosel and Alsatian whites and light reds - that is to say they are old vine, cold climate, high altitude, dry farmed, wood-aged and wild-fermented. And they are absolute rippers. In the pursuit of creating Oregon ~terroir wines~ since planting their first vines in 2005, they have accomplished that and more; these wines are a bottled lesson in Oregon archeology. Truly a product of their time and place, these are expressive, mineral-driven, high-acid rippers that will broaden your horizons on what Willamette Valley juice can taste like.
